Who wants to help me get an iPhone?

Hey Guys!

I'm stuck here in Germany - the land with the most ridiculously expensive iPhone plan in the world.

I'd love to be able to use my phone with my current provider (€22,- for the enough data, the same amount of minutes and more texts than T-Mobile Germany offers for €50,-).

Being a poor student, the real plan is out of the question and the iPhones you can buy in stores in europe can't be unlocked.

Does anyone have an unlocked iPhone that they would care to trade against a new one? I'd be willing to pay around $350,- for a used, unlocked 8GB iPhone if you could ship it to yurrup for me.

Think about it - you could upgrade to the new 16GB model!

Or does anyone have an alternative?

Do you mean software unloked? I hacked my iPhone once and lost all my data so I havnt kept up on how u even unlock one

I do want a new 16 iPhone tho

aptmunich wtf are you talking about? In germany can buy an iPhone for 1000 euro's simlock free (which is a ridiculous price but still) and in france you can buy a simlock free iPhone for 750 euros. And why can't you unlock a iPhone in europe?

Just import an iPhone via ebay, I bet there are plenty of them.

See there even are unlocked iphones for sell in the netherlands. They are around 700 euros. I could send you one if you want but it'll cost you around 700 euros.

Just an FYI, you can't unlock any of the new phones that have been shipped after week 45 of production (which is I think ~mid November).

Therefore, you can't unlock any of the new 16 gig phones...

Nah, T-Mobile doesn't sell them unlocked any more and the French unlocked ones are a bit too expensive.

Oh well, maybe I'll just hang on until the iPhone nano drops
