That's the only way to play it, in my opinion. Any time I've ever tried to play solo I was bored out of my mind.

This. I've played about 8 hours solo and it was SO boring. I can definitely see it being awesome with friends though.

I'd love to play Broken Ops or Modern Warfare 2 via Xbox Live with some fellow KATG HUAR fans. I would go through this thread, but c'mon. I'm fucking lazy. Here is my gamer tag

I think Borderlands is ok to play solo. I mean, what RPG has solo quests that are better? They staved off being repetitive, which is all I ask for. Plus, I join online games with high levels so I can a shit ton of xp and sickass shields and weapons, then play solo. It's so easy at that point it's comical. But I'm ok with that because I know there are tough challenges yet to be seen.

I respectfully disagree.

I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas and I think they were terrible compared to Borderlands

Granted they are very different games, besides the general similarity in leveling up and first-person shooting. Strange thing though, I never really liked the modern Fallout games. I thought Fallout 3 was boring and a total waste of time. New Vegas was a whole lot better, but still not really an enjoyable game in my opinion. I tried to picture a character something like a mix between the Gunslinger and the Man from the Road, but no amount of suspension of disbelief could help that mess. Borderlands, on the other hand, blew me the fuck away.

On a different note... I'm close to the end of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Amazing game in virtually every way. I've been pretty disappointed with most games recently, but this is a breath of fresh air for gaming in 2010. Can't say that it rivals the first Deus Ex, but man is it good.

Thought this was kinda cool. Apparently in Deus Ex, if you stop right before you complete a level and double back, you'll bump into cops investigating the murders you've committed.

Pic from Reddit

It's stuff like this that makes me wanna blow my whole long weekend coming up on playing it.
