I've been playing Resident Evil 5. It's not too bad, a lot of people complained about the controls (not being able to walk and aim simultaneously) but I didn't have any big issues with it... until trying to beat the game in professional mode.
any enemy kills you in 1 hit, which makes the ones who use crossbows or any projectile annoying since you can't quickly dodge it when trying to snipe them. |

I guess it's an issue if you're used to "run and gun" FPS games. In games like Resident Evil you're not supposed to wipe ou enemies easily... It's like people playing Call of Duty 4, and then complain because Rainbow six is "Slow" in comparison. It's a different approach, that's all... |

Like I said, it's only an issue when playing in professional mode and all enemies easily kill you with 1 hit. Nothing is more infuriating then having to start all the way back at a checkpoint because some enemy hits you (or your partner) with an arrow from across the map before you have a chance to see him. If I had it my way, Resident Evil would still be a game with zombies that don't run and shoot guns at you, and it would have square and hexagon cranks galore. |

I would buy that! ![]() Anyway i get what you mean about the controls issue... But i have to say that, while in the RE games the movements kinda got on my nerves, they actually improved the playing experience in a game like Dead space... Not being able to move easily when you heard a sudden noise made jump a LOT... But that was frustrating though. But fuck me, if i had it my way, all games would be like "Sam and Max"

I got skate. from GameFly on Friday and put a handful of hours into it over the weekend. So far, I'm pretty impressed.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that when you start out at the beginning, your skater is as good as he is ever going to be. You never upgrade your equipment or increase your stats- you just have to get better at the controls to beat the harder challenges. It's actually very satisfying when you nail some of the harder tricks. |
