I used to play that game to death as a kid, it is the first real memory of a game that I played over and over and over. The game is a lot easier than I remember it but its no less fun its always good figuring out quicker or easier ways to do levels and improve speed run times.

Anyone gonna be joining in the Steam Unreal Tournament 3 free weekend? I've preloaded and I'll be shooting dudes mostly on Sunday.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2- I really like it. More tactics are involved than in most shooters, and you are still playing a first person shooter (compared to Full Spectrum Warrior, which was all tactics and no shooting). The storyline isn't bad, but it is a shooter, so it's really just telling you why you are killing everyone. The weapons are fairly accurate, as are the weapon attachments. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the both rank and A.C.E.S. challenges. Rank unlocks uniforms and armor, the A.C.E.S. challenges unlock weapons. I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5. It's just about the perfect shooter in my opinion.

Men Of War reminded me a lot Commandos, expect with bloody awful voice acting. Good game if you can get past that, though.
I just bought Freedom Force and it's sequel Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich because they just appeared on steam. We're talking superhero action strategy RPG from Ken 'Bioshock' Levine, inspired by Jack Kirby. In short, EXACTLY MY KIND OF THING. Yes, I love Steam, and I am unapologetic in my love. Speaking of which... Steam have a crapton of sales on! 50% off: All of Mumbo Jumbo's games (causal stuff). Flock! I wasn't bowled over by the demo but, hey, it's sheep being chased by ufos! Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut nice engine, shame about the game. It's fun as a medieval Batman simulator. You'll need a powerful PC, mind. Splinter Cell I loved this game, back before they released one every 2 days. Splinter Cell: Double Agent never played it, any good? The Bone-Breaking Racing Package contains Trials 2 and Monster Trucks Nitro, which are a blast. There's also the Unreal games pack and UT3 on it's own because of the UT3 free weekend, which you should join me and Hellbent on (Sunday, mostly). Will do! Anyone else up for the UT3 free weekend?

I liked Rainbow, but the online play of CoD won me over. Every game just needs to copy the cod format. Last edited by Mikey; 05-30-2009 at 01:42 AM. |

1UP have a round up of E3 rumours here.
I'll cross my fingers for Episode 3 or Portal 2 and Pikmin 3 and hope that a new ps3 sku will push the price of the existing one down. A lot of numbers in that post. |
