I've decided to replay the Metroid games. Instead of the NES orginal, I started with Zero Mission, the GBA remake.
Gotta say, playing this is a pleasure, such a wonderful treatment of a classic. It highlights and adds to the smart level design, fluid animation and sense of atmosphere without changing it so much that it feels like a completely different game. I think I'll skip Metroid II, it always felt it was too linear and I'm looking forward to Super Metroid. |
