Fuuuuucccccccckkkkkkk you and welcome to the forums

I'm reading Jonathan Franzen's novel "The Corrections." I started it after all the hype he and his new book ("Freedom," which I haven't started yet) were getting. I am really enjoying Corrections though. It's very funny but it's also a hard read because of how much of myself and my family I see in his characters.

Just finished Yes Man by Danny Wallace. It was ok.

I'm just about to start Hippopotamus by Stephen Fry.

Finished two good ones in the last week: 'Concrete' by Thomas Bernhard and 'Le Grand Meaulnes' by Alain-Fournier.

Just finished Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut.

Good book and an interesting style but not as good as it was hyped.

About 100 pages into Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. One of the hardest books I've had to read because of the scottish accent but already it is better than the movie.

I also just finished Galapagos and wasn't thrilled with it either. Now I'm reading A Confederacy of Dunces and really enjoying it.

I tried reading Time Quake and couldn't finish it. I also read Slaughter House five and thought it was great. I just can't wrap my head around why he is so exalted, the books are good but I don't think he is anywhere near the best

David Rakoff just released his newest book, Half Empty- I love it. I think you have to have a dry, almost cynical sense of humor for his books. But yes, two thumbs up

I think he invented weird story book writing.
