seriously?
cuntflap is too good.. ok, so, i hasn't been compelled to see a film (yes, i said film) in the theaters like this in a long time. And, for some reason, Birdman was not on wide release for a while. Well, it's here in NH and I saw it yesterday. There were a total of 10 people in the theater for a 2:15 show. I had no popcorn or beverage. I was very slightly spliffed. Loved it. It's my kind of film. I can see where people might not like it. It was something I could see Altman really appreciating. |

I need some clarification on this movie description, dEad. Are you saying that the movie was so good, that even slightly stoned you remained seated. Even though you desperately wanted soda and popcorn? Or did you simply like the film and you're just mindlessly recounting the events of the day..?
Don't get me wrong. This was a delightful account. Just needs a bit more context. |

Salmon Fishing In The Yemen.
A nice English flick about an Aspy fisheries scientist (Ewan McGregor) who is seconded by a filthy rich Arab Sheik - via his ridiculously cute London based strategist - Emily Blunt, to put Northern Atlantic salmon into the River Yemen. It's a sweet film that poses some nice ideas about faith and hope through the endeavour of putting fish into an environment where, technically, they shouldn't be able to survive. McGregor and Blunt make an attractive couple and they play well off of one another. I like this film a lot. |

I'll watch a bit of fly fishing with the E. One McGregor.
Just saw news that Ewan McGregor is coming back as Obi Wan in Star Wars Vll. You guys excited or is it all original Star Wars only..? |

There's talk of him maybe doing one of the spin off movies but you can rule him out for episode 7.
Episode 7 is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi and Kenobi by that stage has been long dead. |

Nice one Steve. It's not bad at all eh.
Caught this movie on our public broadcaster, the ABC last night. Hugo Weaving (The Matrix trilogy) turns in a decent performance but it's Dan Hany's film. Think Shawshank Redemption with a bird or two. Last edited by Dean from Australia; 11-24-2014 at 04:11 AM. |
