In three pages this thread has listed the two greastest "lonely hearts" movies of all time. I think we may have a bad case of the winter blues.

Boo, I want to see Milk.
I just saw Frost / Nixon. I liked it. Interesting. They portrayed Nixon sympathetically, when they could easily have presented him as the megalomanic I suspect he was. |

Post work nap fail. So I watched The Wall - Live in Berlin. Not quite a regular movie, but awesome, nonetheless.
Recent movies included Ben Buttons (Aces) and Slumdog Millionaire (Aces plus 10) |

The bf and I saw The Spirit last night. It was... not exactly what I expected. But I really enjoyed it. We both agreed we're sick of Jackson being.. well, Jackson. EGG! ON MY FACE!!! All that was missing was a "Mothafucka!". Hrm.
But I enjoyed all the eye candy and the obvious Frank Miller style. Oh, and Mendes needs to stop partying so much cause if hollywood make-up can't fix all the luggage under her eyes, she's done for. It was so distracting to see such an otherwise beautiful woman look so aged. Quote:
I feel the same way. I believe in the end, (spoiler alert) that it won't work between them and it's just headed for disaster again and they know it. And while its... amazing that they know this and want to try anyway (the heart wants what it wants) it makes me incredibly sad because its futile. Sigh.

I just watched "Little Children".
Fortunately it wasn't the cheesy movie worried it would be. Quite the opposite! Interesting stories and characters and I especially liked that the movie ended with room for speculation and gave you something to think about. The only bad thing about the movie were Kate Winslet's tits. Boo! |
