I mean the British like to use the word cunt. A lot. Men dressed in drag in and out of the Parliament. So much Syphilis and if you are lucky, Rachel Weisz will show you how to VOGUE. Let your body move to the music.
Into the Spiderverse had Lily Tomlin voice Aunt May. With a baseball bat. Enough said. |

Finally saw I Tonya. Was surprised at how much I liked it. I'm a sucker for breaking the fourth wall when it comes to stories that actually happened, like the Big Short. Also for someone with little to no interest in figure skating, I thought it had the perfect amount of figure skating in it, not too much not too little.
I watched the clips of the real interviews during the credits, think they should make another movie just with the real footage. Loved the freakin bird on her mom's shoulder eating her earwax the whole time. |

I watched Fantastic Beasts Grimwald's Bollocks
What a load of hokey shit. Admittedly, I fell asleep in the cinema and missed the last 20 minutes or so. Not a great look. |

Ben is Home
C (Really a C- but I added half a grade cuz I cried a bunch) This movie started out being right up my alley. It's a drama about a fuck up son and a co-dependent, al-anonic mother and their disastrous relationship. All the other family tells her to let him fix himself, she won't hear of it, everyone cries. Super into it. But then, in the middle of the movie, the genre shifts to this "A Christmas Carol" situation and the mother and son go down the literal road of his past sins as he shows her all the things he did for/while on drugs. It becomes so corny and preachy and unbelievable that I just lost interest. Then you think the movie is gonna end with a lesson of "you can't save everyone so stop trying to" but no. the mother is rewarded for her codepence in the cheesiest way. I would really like other ppl in recovery to watch this to see if they think it's as bad as I did. Would only recommend if you need to cry cuz Roberts gives you that in spades.

Vox Lux
A goddamnit! maybe A+!! I can barely find the words to talk about this. The trailer doesn't even scratch the surface of what it goes through. Imagine if Sia became a singer because of a tragedy like Bruce Wayne or Peter Parker. But instead of saving people like they do, she just became the kind of pop star we see on reality TV. It's dark and sad and weird and SHOCKING and Natalie Portman is doing amazing. Jude Law get's kinda fat near the end of the film and I thought he looked pretty sexy. Her
Been meaning to see it and after all the talk about Her recently on the cast and the fact it was on netflix meant I really needed to give it a go.
It was alright. I didn't cry. |
