Just went on a movie marathon this week.
Benjamin Button- 7/10 ok movie with better subplots than the main story.
Gran Torino- 8.5/10 great movie about race, life, and death. Best Ending credits song of all time.
Slumdog Millionaire- 9/10 great idea centered around who wants to be a millionaire. love story is kinda contrived.
Frost/Nixon- 7/10 history lesson with actors, picks up in the middle and ends nicely.

Fortunately it wasn't the cheesy movie worried it would be. Quite the opposite! Interesting stories and characters and I especially liked that the movie ended with room for speculation and gave you something to think about.
The only bad thing about the movie were Kate Winslet's tits. Boo!
Have you read the book? I was pretty happy with the movie and i'm a big fan of the author. (Tom Perotta)

No I did not read the book and I am not sure whether to read this book, now that I already saw the movie. But I think I'll grab another book of his instead ("The Wishbones" sounds quite interesting).

Saw Valkyrie and thought it was great. Despite Tom Cruise being in the film, he does an excellent job acting and portrays his character well. I thought it was a great depiction of what people in the Third Reich were thinking at the time and the movie stayed true to what really happened, like where the briefcase was moved to after he left and the second explosive being tossed and not used. Great movie, and would reccomend those that are history buffs go see it.

I also rented Windy City Heat and thought it was hilarious. Nothing is more funny than Perry screaming and reaching intense levels with his voice...and the ending scene with the fake Charleton Heston was fantastic.

I watched "Angels in America" last night. If you ever want to see something stranger than "Rocky Horror Picture Show" watch it. Or if you have AIDS or are a Mormon. Otherwise, stay away, it is a waste of time.

Just saw Doubt, which was pretty much flawless. Meryl Streep was brilliant.

I want to see the first three, and I really enjoyed the last

Do you think they overstated the importance of the interview in history? Was it really that much of a big deal?
