Let's say I had to pick one artist's collection to take with me to the "island".

Thinking long and hard, I'd scratch off anything new, since I've been in love with artists before and after three or four years they fall off my playlist. I'd have to pick a group that stands the test of time, a group that I can listen to year after year and still tollerate. Sure there may be months where I don't play a single one of their tracks, but in the end, I know I'll be playing them once again. And I'd need a performer who has at least five, if not ten, good albums.

Hmmm...

The Beatles.

If I had to listen to only one group for life - yea, I guess so. They're the only group that comes to mind.

Ask me years back and I would have said, "The Smiths." Before then, "The Police".

eh.

The Beatles have some great stuff, as long as you have everything they ever did on the island, then that could last a bit, depending on what you did with it.

I still enjoy them, but the thing with me is that when I get into a band they are usually the only one that I listen to, I guess I'm weird in that way. There was a point where I pretty much only listened to Nirvana and Jack Off Jill. Now I listen to NIN, APC, JOJ and some Tool. I've overplayed Nirvana, but Kurt is still my homeboy, don't worry, now you can sleep at night.

If I were on a desert Island I'd take Reznor and Maynard and give Maynard a Jew wig and make them act out episodes of keith and the girl, except like a musical.

I'll never be able to sleep well at night, but just thought some of your choice are unique. You are entitled to listen to what you want. My only arugument was that you said APC was better than Tool, that stings.

One of my other all time favorite band is KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, and Ministry. My music back ground would have to be Instrustrial Music, i am an all around music goer, but my roots are industrial.
