Mines probably got a couple of magazines, a sock, an old pair of shoes ... I know it's possible to loose stuff under your bed but Im thinking I'd probably notice a 22 year old fully grown man :eek:

Scott Jennings, 22, constructed a secret hiding place in the bottom of the childs divan bed and lived there undiscovered by her mother.

After drawing the child into his web of deceit, he is said to have systematically abused her.

A judge sitting at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester jailed Jennings, of Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, for two years and three months after he pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one of sexual assault.

The child, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, met Jennings by chance on a bus in November last year.

Jennings, who was homeless at the time, was wanted for questioning by police on an unspecified matter. He persuaded his victim, a high school pupil, to take him home where she was able to sneak him into the house unnoticed.
She was always aware of his real age, say police.

He converted the childs bed into a hiding place by removing wooden slats under the mattress and then cutting a large enough hole in the canvas support.

He would then disappear into his secret den whenever he heard the childs mother approaching. The court was told that the girls mother was oblivious to his shadowy existence under the same roof.

Police believe that the child raided the family larder to feed the man she regarded as her secret live-in boyfriend.

Errrrrmmm..... this is a story of a girl's mum not knowing there was a man living under her daughter's bed. Not someone living under her own bed.

The girl knew the bloke was there.

Well your introduction implied that if there was a 22yr old man living under your bed, you'd notice. Of course you'd notice. But thats not the point of the story. The point is the no-one else noticed.

Actually you're both wrong, he was hiding IN the bed - it was one of those divan things, he was in the framework of the bed.

What about going for a poo? How come him and the mum didn't pass each other on the landing on the way to the bathroom?

Was he fucking the girl whilst living there?

My intro stated I would notice a 22 year old man under my bed. I then posted the news text.

You assumed I was suggesting the 12 year old didn't notice Coconut (name changed to protect the innocent) and his hot breath under her bed.

Infact the only person who didn't notice was her mother. Her 10 year old sister knew aswell.

I assume the mother just couldn't pick up on the fact her 12yr and 10yr old daughters were acting differently as you would with a man resident in your bed.

Maybe he waited until she'd gone out.
