Who here is good at tracking down people on the internet?

I know Keith has had someone around here find people's contact info before. If anyone around here is able to do me a favor I'd be forever in their debt.

There's a guy who's ripped me and about 20 other people off by taking our money and claiming he was going to build us arcade sticks. Then, he ran off to Vegas, gambled our money away and got in trouble with the law. Now, he's gone off and disappeared, leaving us with nothing. All in all he scammed about $4500 off of the group of us. $300 off of me personally.

What kind of info is needed to find this guy? All I know is his first name is Aaron, his internet handle he's used in multiple places is "Lazeeya" and he lives in San Diego.

Is there anyone here who can help us track him down?

I'm sorry, but that's hilarious. You trusted someone on the internet? First, you need to know his IP. You can get that by contacting the admins of the boards, then get a good IP tracking program/site.

That's the best way to go....the admins should be bending over backwards to help you.

A quick google search comes up with an email address (hisforumname@hotmail.com) shows a facebook page for Aaron Ho, with only one person as a friend. But that friends page shows that he's friends with another Aaron. I'm a kinda cute girl, so I sent them both requests...if anything comes out of it, I'll let you know.

But Malcolm's advice is the best...haven't the admins been of any help?

We all had good reason to trust him. He'd had over a year of rave reviews from customers who had sticks built for them. Speedy service, quality product, personable guy.

Fuck off. Different people like different things. I wouldn't give you shit if you paid a lot of money for some sort of premium sports gear. Don't act like your hobbies (whatever they may be) are somehow more worthy than mine.

Why would you hand over that much money to someone who you have no formal agreement with, no contact information for, and no intermediate like ebay to have a means to resolve disputes? You are a fool, and you are lucky you are only out $300. By your own admission, others were out far more. Suck it up and learn a lesson.
