Seems a lot like the website Bikely I used to track my rides.

I'll setup something on this site to see how things compare to it in regards to calories burnt and what not.

However for the time being I'm still doing all my riding in doors on my bike trainer.

*EDIT*

Apparently the rest of the week is calling for rain and possibly even snow at the end of the weekend. Hopefully this changes, my trainer bores and kills me all at once. With any luck Tuesday will be the first ride, if I can get off of work early.

I'm posting, but only distance and notes because distance and personal attitude are the only things I care about right now.

I'm really new to this (regular exercise for 8 months, ellipical runs for about 3), so I'm not nearly as professional as some of you guys, but my last run was the first time I was able to go 4km on a weekday afternoon. Usually I'm so tired after work that I don't even break 3km. I definately have noticed a change in my overall mood and energy. I don't look much different to myself, maybe a little bit better, but I have been told that I look more fit.

I'm in and signed up. I have 26.2 on April 5th so the rest of my month will begin to taper out starting on Thursday.

That is AWESOME! its not about how much distance you are doing its more of a motivator tool to keep you going, dont worry about the crazy distance that some of the people are putting in, you motivate the rest of us as much as we may motivate you!

keep up the good work!!!

yes the indoor trainer seams like a good idea at the time and then 30 min in you want to kill yourself from boredom the onlything that i have found to work is watching football but now that the season is over it is just hell. but a workout is a workout weather indoor or out so put that shit up!!!

My stomach wasn't completely empty this morning. I had a packet of instant oatmeal before leaving the house. I always make sure I get some easily digestible carbs in about 30 minutes before I go on long runs. I also had an energy gel and about 20 oz. of sport drink during the run.
i didnt eat and had gone out partying the night before and then met the Virginia tech tri team for a morning swim, i blacked out in the middle of my stroke and came to about 5 feet from the edge of the pool under water, realizing i couldn't breath i stepped and lunged for the edge of the pool and puked pool water into the drainage grate next to the pool, i had a massive sugar deficiency and couldn't raise my head without getting dizzy and puking.

so i walked back to my dorm with my head down looking at the ground it must have been hilarious, i drank a bottle of Gatorade and slept for 12 hours felt fine when i woke up.

moral of the story is get plenty of sleep and make sure you eat half an hour before a swim, and if you notice yourself getting tunnel vision STOP SWIMMING! that last part i had for 3 laps and didnt stop, big mistake!

Swimming is such an intense workout that it's still going to be a while till I feel brave enough to attempt it haha. I do enjoy it though. One of the few workouts anymore where my mind goes completely blank. And it is fun to just swim a few laps with a relaxed pace (even though I would probably end up gasping for air at the end).

you have to start somewhere when i was training for my first ironman after my first day in the pool i thought i would never be able to do the race, i could hardly swim 2 laps in a row and i was scared out of my mind, but after going 3 times a week for a month it all fell into place quite quickly, the hardest part is taking that first step after that its hard but not as hard

Absolutely! We all started somewhere and you are off to a great start. The vast majority of people would be thrilled to be able to run that far! Having the tenacity and willpower to keep going and improving your fitness is extremely motivating for others, myself included. I look forward to seeing more workouts logged by you and the rest of the KATG group.
