What do you think of Obama's stimulus plan?

It looks like the dusted off pet projects of the past 10 years. I see no stimulus in the plan, just a giant boondoggle.

Look more closely, the plan will steal generations worth of earnings for work (that's pretty much slavery, but I digress) for the purpose of stimulating the the socialist agenda. It further intends to stimulate the socialists into office by rigging the census figures and refraining from releasing monies until the next election cycle. (can't let those low level idiots have access to money too many days away from the day we need them to bend to our cause, they can't be trusted not to waste it).

What is money? Where does it come from? What is value and how does one create it? Why does $5 in my Kiva account cause a human in India to suddenly change their life and start a business? If my money can provide such an immense benefit, why doesn't the Indian government start loaning 250 rupees to slum-dwellers?

I prefer Austrian economics to Keynesian, but that's mainly because of my political beliefs. Keynesianism can probably work, but as Alexandra has stated, money doesn't appear out of thin air, and debt is a very real poison.

I prefer Jon Stewart's idea to the way we're currently throwing money at banks, but an even better idea would be to convince Americans that most of them have meaningless existences. Art does not provide real value to a society, nor do many services that people perform. Become a doctor, a farmer, or a scientist. Those are the only true ways to be independent and create generational value.
