I happened to be on Wikipedia while listening to this show. I found two great things. #1: According to Wikipedia, Jesse Joyce is proficient in Spanish. That means he can speak it perfectly, right? #2: According to Wikipedia, Pat Dixon does not exist. I hate to add fuel to the raging inferno that is Jesse's ego, but the internet tells no lies.

I, too, am very excited/nervous to see this week's bestseller lists. So glad to hear the book is in its second printing! How many copies were the first printing (or is that a trade secret)?

Keith is such a bad person. He wrote bad checks once and went to jail for it. Ever since then I can't respect him or think anything he does in life is good. I've never once laughed at the show he puts on daily because he wrote bad checks once. My finger hovers over the unsubscribe button at all times, but I have to listen every day to make sure that he doesn't do anything else bad. And his CD's are horrible and perhaps the worst things I have ever heard because he wrote bad checks.
See how ridiculous that sounds? I don't get Keith's perspective on morality. Going back to Polanski, how does the one very bad thing he did mean that all the things he did before or after it are not worthy of praise. Rosemary's Baby is still an excellent movie, as is Chinatown. It just so happens that their creator is a dick. You gotta learn to separate the art from the artist, man. That being said, I don't know if Tyson has really added anything to the cultural zeitgeist other than biting people and being a laughingstock for the rest of us normal people. But I'm not gonna say he was a bad fighter because he raped a person. Does that make me evil? |

While I agree that art can be separated from the artist, I still cringe every time a commercial for his new movie crops up and I hear his name. I simply cannot watch his movies anymore. Everything he touches repulses me. As a consumer, that's my right. Last edited by Blitzgal; 03-17-2010 at 11:50 AM. |

And that's great, but do you deny that he is a great artist? I don't think you can. You can (and I do) call him a bad person, but he made great works of art. Long after we're all dead nobody will care about him as a person but they will still watch Chinatown.
