Keith... I'm sorry if you misunderstood the feedback that Chemda read from me on today's show. What the feedback said was that the FIRST TIME Mr. DaH and I met ElvisRico (which was about a month ago) we had checked in on Foursquare (which you can have posted automatically to Twitter) at a local bar here in the Phoenix area for one of our buddy's going away parties. We even posted the reason we were there.
About 20 minutes after we arrived... ElvisRico walked through the doors and another great friendship was born out of the KATGT family. I assure you I was not lying about this meeting. He saw our Twitter and came to meet us without our knowledge. That FIRST meeting was NOT pre-planned. The meetup we had with him this past weekend, however, was. You not only saw that planning on Twitter, but you were kind enough to RT it. But he did, indeed, "stalk" meet us the 1st time. Thank you again for creating this community where we can all connect, have fun, and frolic throughout the interwebz... Silly mediums and mayorships are just part of that fun sometimes. |

I heard one particularly stupid counter argument to the anti-mosqe movement.
People tried to say that its hypocritical to disagree with a mosque but not say anything about a strip club http://www.enewspf.com/index.php/opi...mmunity-center "Oh a mosque is bad but a strip club is fine" YES, I think we should build a strip club there beacuse a strip club represents everything that the fuckers who did that stand against. Its total bullshit for Muslims to bring up the first amendment for this when they through a shit-fit over a damn episode of southpark. I don't hate any Muslim people personally, but I think its disgusting that his faith is still stuck thousands of years behind us. All the religions had stupid shit like stoning adulterers and forcing women to hide their beauty, but have they ever noticed that they are the only people who still do it and coincidentally they live in all the shitty countries. Modern Muslims still brainwash their daughters into thinking that their beauty is a sin and that they are evil for wanting any kind of identity past that fucking head veil. I'm an atheist/agnostic/whatever myself but I can recognize that other faiths have evolved and adjusted to modern times and basic human rights. Last edited by doctorsleep; 08-23-2010 at 10:39 PM. |

People in prison don't say they have aids because they get quarantined with people who really do have aids, where they'll be raped by people who definitely have aids. And before they get quarantined, they might get killed/beat up for being fags (because only fags get aids)

My name is Eddie, 28, quite inebriated, but I feel I must say something regarding this mosque situation.
What I am about to propose may be far fetched, but as someone who spent 6 years of their life as evangelical christian I may be able to offer an insightful comparison. If the attacks of 9/11 were caused by an extremist christian cult whose beliefs were that the global economy does not share the same beliefs that there is only one way to heaven, and that is through jesus christ, their personal savior, will they truly be saved and find a way to heaven, and that idolizing greed, they are sinning and will be truly punished, and therefore this cult shall destroy a haven of greed in the western civilivation to show the masses that they have forsaken the almighty god, and all of this was taught to them by some religious fuck-nut, If 9 years after the attacks, a religious organization wanted to build a christian church 2 blocks away from ground zero, would it be met with the same amount of criticism? Let it be known that there is already a mosque 4 blocks away from ground zero, yet that has never been an issue One of the main proponents behind this verbal argument has been fox news. One of the questions they have been asking has been where is the money for this mosque coming from? Instead of arguing about this clip, I'll let this link from The Daily Show explain how Fox News has said itself that the money for this mosque comes from an owner of News Corp., the parent company of Fox News. Quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Freedom of religion means freedom of ALL religion, no matter how shitty it is. We protect the speech of KKK members because of our first amendment. You don't want the government to start getting into the business of deciding who can speak and who can't, who can practice their religion, and who can't, because one day you may be the one who's being restricted. Also, if we disregard the first amendment of our constitution in this instance then we are no better than the people we are condemning. Finally, this issue is a fucking bullshit issue that's been trumped up by FOX news. Stewart has played clips from FOX with the imam as a guest where he was portrayed positively as a moderate Muslim, and also clips where they are talking about the mosque in December 2009 with claims that "no one" has a problem with the project. Also, the Pentagon has a mosque. As one of the targets on 9/11, shouldn't there be a problem with that as well? And there are also movements to block mosques across the country, not just in New York City. The people trumping up this story are doing so in a very disingenuous manner. I liked this blog post title at a liberal blog I read: "Defending the rights of theists does not equal agreeing with their beliefs."
