Like any older comic Joan Rivers has her moments of hilarity but in general she's neither funny nor attractive.
Nudity was brought up in the show and I was watching the movie Sphere tonight. In it they showed Samuel L. Jackson nude from the waist up and I was thinking if that's really him he's got a decent body. Would have rather seen Sharron Stone, who was also in the movie, but I've seen her in other things. It's always weird that they will show violence long before they show nudity. |

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table. There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done. |

My comedy nerdy-ness prevents me from commenting on Joan Rivers. I liked her documentary..I guess. That Louie episode were he fucks her was funny...I guess. Right? right. |

I give you a six for being on topic but a zero for originality.

I've only just started listening to this, but was howling like a wanking monkey when "this article" discussed its feelings.
Almost crashed into a car at a red light. Other drivers looking at me like I'm a fucking idiot. Totally fucking worth it |

Chemda isn't the only one that finds it hot when a woman is having sex out of desperation or is just plain disinterested in the whole thing. I wish I could explain why other than I’m a horribly broken person.
The Miss Delaware porn is boring cause it seemed that neither party was really enjoying themselves. They may as well have been doing a light cardio workout. She didn't even show off her body, although that is probably because she is sorta just tall and lanky. No real feminine curves to speak of. |

The Violence Against Women Act was first passed in 1994, drafted by then Senator Joe Biden. It has been reauthorized without controversy several times since then, but the Republicans have been blocking the most recent reauthorization for over a year. Their alleged complaints about it were the increased protections for Native and immigrant women and for LGBT people, but in actuality they're simply blocking and impeding everything they possibly can.

Hey Keith, as a reporter I figured I'd chime in on the use of "allegedly" in news articles.
The reason for the widespread use of the term, especially in cop stories, is for a couple of reasons. First, in our criminal justice system innocence is presumed, even when someone, like your guy in the article, takes a picture of himself holding his mom's severed head. If a media outlet fails to include "allegedly," or attribution to another source, it can be sued for libel. That's the big reason. Another reason for the widespread use of "allegedly" is that traditional media outlets are supposed to be unbiased and factual unless otherwise stated. It is possible - and it has happened before - for judges to be forced to move trials or declare a criminal trial a mistrial if the suspect can't get a fair shake from a jury. One of the reasons a suspect might not find a fair jury is if everyone already thinks they're guilty. The easy way around it for reporters is just to have someone else say it. Cops, neighbors, EMTs, etc. can all tell you the guy chopped off his mom's head without having to say allegedly. You just have to attribute it to them. But yes, the overuse of allegedly is annoying. |
