I think the party will only have a short term effect. The guy can look back on the pictures/video and remember the great time he had. Life goes on and there will be positive and negative things that will happen. This might raise his self-esteem, but it may not inspire him to loose weight which would improve his health.

Different sport, Pete Rose got fired from professional baseball and banned from the Hall of Fame for life due to gambling. That is a major consequence for something that only involved him and whomever he placed the bet(s) with.

Liz's point on sports is far too idealistic. These football players are good at what they do and they make their respective teams BANK! Be the best at what you do, make yourself and others money and look at what you can get away with. That is such a real world lesson that we seem to hide from kids. Yet we see it repeated over and over again in sports, business and politics.

Awesome show, killer guests.

2 from 2 on shows booked by KATG fans. Fucking nice work.

Sorry cHemmobby, you're out of a job. (I'm sure the guests just organised themselves to show up).

Toni I'm not sure what you're talking about. We didn't change the time for this episode.

I'm nosy so I had a look at this guys wikipedia
Allegedly he bet on his own games while a player and potentially as a manager as well - that's not really something between him and the guys he placed the bets with - that is a) major shady and b) actually forbidden.
