Today, I hit my breaking point with my brother. For years he has treated me like he has a low opinion of me and this became even more evident when his son was born. Basically, he sent me an email that was so insulting that I snapped and told him off. I tried to go along with their insane rules-no kissing their kid ever, not on the forehead not anywhere, no making funny noises, no showing excite,met over seeing him and if I dare to ask to see him twice a month I'm an asshole. To be clear, I was never pushy, kept my opinion to myself and whenever they didn't feel like having a visit I was more than understanding.

I haven't seen or heard from them since Christmas. His email basically said in order to repair our relationship I have to admit I was a boundary crossing asshole. Those who know me know how much I bent over backwards trying to make them comfortable/respecting the boundaries. I decided I can't keep crying every time I ha e an interaction with them. I can't keep feeling like tearing my skin apart to get rid of the mental anguish (because I really am overly sensitive despite my best efforts not to be) and I can't keep shoving food into my fat face to cope. He wants to portray me as this psycho idiot...i put my boundary up and said I'm done. As much as it kills me be it means I won't see my nephew/have a relationship with him, I can't keep going down this path. It fucking sucks.

Many of the local preschools near me have the same sorts of draconian rules about the kids in their care, as I have found out...
