I'm very sorry to hear that Chemda is going through all of this.
I've been listening to this show since it started.. I'be been a fan through high school and medical school, Keith and Chemda have both brought so much to my life and I'm hoping for the best for you.

I'm a baby Doctor (intern) so I'm not going to act like I know anything or tell Chemda some crazy webMD shit. However I could give her some
Lingo that might help.
When you first presented to the hospital, you were seen by an emergency physician who the first point of entry for the hospital. Their job is to address complaints and do basic and necessary investigations. Resulting in either discharging (sending home) the patient with medications or a referral. Or referring to a specialist if needed.
In your case I'm assuming you will be referred either to a hematologist (Doctor specialized in the study of blood disorders) or an oncologist (Doctor specialized in the study of tumors). They will do the further special tests (biopsy) required to diagnose the nature of this mass. Once they know what it is they can decide on a treatment plan.

I like everyone else, hope this is benign. I have a good feeling about it because you've never mentioned anything that resembles the "B-symptoms" of cancer. (Unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite, night sweats). I am not going to attempt to form a diagnosis through podcasts episodes but I guess what I'm trying to say is I care about you and wish for the best possible outcome.

Here's to the triathlon you'LL rock !! Cheers

Best of luck and many good vibes going to Chemda. I just kicked stage IV ovarian cancer in the ass and it wasn't fun. I wouldn't wish the journey on anyone BUT...there are some amazing things that can come out of it, too. Your sense of humor and amazing attitude will help you get through whatever it is.

I felt something was up last night when the show was released and ended up only listening to about 10 min of the bomb drop...Fuck, sleeping was hard last night. After hearing the full ep, I am even more in love with this show and all of the people that make it what it is.

Chemda, I am sending you all the good vibes and thoughts I possess as you, Hennessy, and the rest of KATG fam get through this difficult time. You are a fucking queen, and I have looked up to you as a feminist role model since 2008. You have done so much for so many people, and I know this community will rally around you and offer all the support we can provide. Thinking positive thoughts and wishing you a speedy recovery. Love you, stranger.

Whenever I hear about weird growths/ mass-grapefruit thingys, (that may need surgery) I always ask. Has the surgery been done before? Is it common? Routine procedure?

I just googled world's biggest tumor. It was 30 lbs and the size of a watermelon. A WATERMELON, Chemda! The lady had it removed and is fine.

This is scary, but thank goodness Chemda found out about it and is taking care of it. She lives in NYC; home of the best specialists. She's got this.

I'm staying at a place with no wifi and can't download podcasts. My friend texted me this morning and told me what's up... I can't process this, for me it's like a family member. I love you and I know it will all be ok but I hate it that you're going through this.
