I grew up on rock and roll. I've grown to like other types of music, (hip hop, bluegrass, electronic, and such) but if I'm stuck in a car, forced to listen to whatever, I know I can rely on a rock station.

So, liking other styles of music, I still gotta say. WTF is Tupac doing in the ROCK and roll hall of fame??? He is a rapper. One of the best/ most influential of all times to be sure. But he ain't rock n roll. He's not even hip hop. He's in a very specific genre: Gangsta Rap.

There's a reason this type of rhyming is not conducive to award ceremonies. The lyrical content is strictly about being the best/ killing the rest. They ain't exactly celebrating their peers. Gangsta Rap is what started West vs East coast beef. We don't even know who killed Tupac except that gangsta rap may have played a role!
