Update:

Went to the surgeon's office again today. I thought I was gonna start PT soon, but he didn't like the range of motion that my ankle has, so for now everything is the same. I take a bit off the wedge in my cast in 2 weeks, then another bit two weeks after that... THEN I begin PT. Like, after I get back from NY.

So the verdict is, I'll still be wearing the damn cast in NY. I 'may' be able to walk somewhat... but I'll need at least one crutch or a cane, if not both crutches.

Dammit, it seems like this is gonna take forEVER.
