As far as I can remember this is the only official reason given for thread deletion ...

Also people do appreciate when threads stay on topic. I do like that this brought that up. But again, that's not the reason.
I do however, to be clear, believe in censorship.

Keith specifically said not staying on topic was NOT the reason. He also hasn't said anything about the forums being "ruined" or new people not being welcomed.
Until he (or Chemda) does this entire thread is moot.
