I can answer this one as we have just had our 1st child. Apparently they only do 1 or 2 ultrasounds, and what everyone is thinking is a 4d ultrasound, where you can see the baby, a regular ultrasound is more like capturing a 2D 'slice'. I was pretty mad that our OB didnt do more ultraounds, but apparntly you only get a few, and 4D scans cost extra. Its like voodoo, our OB just measured her stomach and told us how big the baby was born, it sounded so un-techincial.
