The event in Uzbek is a "sunnat to'yi." "To'y" is a generic term for a feast or celebration and it usually means "wedding" because that's the most common type there. Literally, the term would be "the celebration of the practices derived from the Prophet's teaching." For some reason, in Uzbek, the term for the Prophet's teachings got boiled down to meaning "circumcision."
