I'm not taking anything away from Half Life... but there's a reason that the Halo series is as popular as it is. It's not something for the FPS diehards. They aren't striving to innovate as much as have mass appeal... I think therein lies the difference between being a success PC title and a successful console title. PC = appeals to diehards. Console = appeal to the masses.
