I don't know man, I could never get much into Iced Earth, and it's not a power metal thing; the riffs just sound generic. I think what I enjoyed most about the band was Barlow.
I liked Horror Show, but then I picked up The Glorious Burden and Night of the Stormrider, and both of those albums are pretty shit. I will agree, though, that the Gettysburg trilogy was pretty sweet.
