Apparently the actions you make in 2 will weigh heavily in 3, if you import the character.

Well, then you just get an alternate storyline which doesn't involve wrex, or rather involves discussions about killing him
I'll probably go back and redo the final mission though. I'm pretty sure the people I lost was due to poor team selection, rather than anyone missing upgrades/loyalty. Miranda was the only team member I didn't get loyal, I think because I stuck up for Jack.
