I didn't find him like Douglas Adams at all. I tried to read Pratchett and couldn't get very far and quit.

I've also just started Dune. I'm not very far into it, but it seems pretty cool.
Dune is a GREAT book. Second book is good and it's all downhill from there.

I'm also about halfway through a collection of H.P Lovecraft short stories called "Call of Cthulu and Other Dark Tales".
That's a really good book too.
