Hi people,

Title says it all really.Im coming over on my own from the UK for April 15th, I've never been to the states before. I've got a week to explore, and I guess I am gonna do the standard tourist stuff...Statue of Liberty, Central Park, etc...however there seems to be so much stuff to do in New York, I dont know what else to do.Where else should I go??

Also can anyone recommend any cool bars/night hangout spots?I wanna go to places that people who live in NY would go to, rather than tourist-y places.

Edit: Also is there anywhere in NY that's not safe to go to?
