Ah. I see. Well I think it's great you're giving him the chance and are approaching with an open heart. I try to spend as much time with my daughter as possible. Still, it's a tricky thing. I feel like it's an underlying problem in America, where men are fathers who too often get caught up in work; mostly because that is what is required and needed. It is a dynamic in need of change. Also, as far as "showing him your liberal side" why not take him to the Rainbow Gathering next summer? Theres nothing like getting spun in the woods to get a different perspective..
