I spend so much time prepping for bed it's ridiculous
- Don't drink coffee after 4pm
- Don't eat food after 8pm
- I exercise during the day
- I have a bed time (9:30-10 pm)
- My man and I sleep in separate beds, my bed is a Hilton deluxe queen sized bed, I sleep diagonally on. I have a goose down pillow and duvet.
- I read minimum of 10 minutes before bed
- I use ear plugs (essential because when the kid wakes up daddy hears him mohahah)
- I script my fall asleep thoughts. I make sure I have a good "sleep" scenario. Usually it's shit like, redecorating my dream room or going to my high school reunion looking awesome and rubbing their noses in it.
- When i do wake up in the middle of the night I try not to open my eyes when I go to the bathroom. DEFINITELY no lights on.
It's strenuous but I have the pattern down so I can, usually, get a good nights sleep. When I can't, I take a dose of Nyquil and bye bye birdie
EDIT: I already posted this system in another thread.....hmmmm....I do have expertise in sleeping
