In Europe you have the option to go to France and England and claim asylum, I think Germany has the same program. As long as you get physically on the soil they will not kick you out without going through a intensive investigation on whether or not you deserve asylum. Per the UK rules any homosexual in Russia could get into England, show the judge the video of the guys getting the shit kicked out of them and be allowed to stay.
There are more than enough options to get the hell out and the US is not the only option. Amazingly enough we are not the only country that people can run to for a better life, we're just the best option
