Child porn only gets on your computer one of two ways. You went looking for it or you produced it. That leads to Count 2 - it s illegal to seek out child porn.
And about the pleading not guilty thing, a defendant will always plead not guilty at the initial court appearance because there have been no plea negotiations, no viewing of the evidence by the defense, and often times, the defendant does not have an attorney yet. Once that plea is entered the court has to determine if the defendant is a risk to the community or a flight risk. Absent those two things, they can be released on bond.
