Definitely time to smash 'em
two cameras: one for day-time and one for infrared night vision, zooming capabilities, a speaker for notifying the intruder, sophisticated pattern recognition to detect the difference between humans/trees, and a 5.5mm machine-gun. These are another step towards Hunter-Killers, plain and simple |

Don't discount it too quickly. I have already seen demmonstrations of motion following and humanoid face recognition. I've even seen video on the dicovery channel of a turret-bot that can triangulate the source of a gunshot by the sound.

Is this machine autonomous? Does it need a human operator at all? If this bastard machine were to kill somebody innocent, who would be responsible, the owners of the machine, the developers?
