I understand it was a fool's errand to try to appeal to Keith and Chemda with that song. I honestly do think it's a masterpiece, but I also think it was dumb (and not very fair) of me to expect them to go "oh wow Danny this is the best song ever, you're totally right," especially given my track record with trying to get them into my taste in music.
