i’m on reddit (bonus points if you find me) and watched this thread happen real time. so fun! i don’t think she was shaming him, and if she was even unintentionally, she was checking her own feelings. the subreddit was r/AmITheAsshole maybe she could have gone to a different set of ears, but i think it was a healthy impulse.

I'm Chemda, especially after seeing the forum she put it in (Thanks, Sparrow!) She was looking for answers and venting, not necessarily aiming to destroy the guy's life or status anywhere. Yes it was public but eh.

Technically she might be going against umm revenger porn laws, but it doesn't seem she went out with the intent to Get Him Back for lying.

I don't mean looking for answers about micro dicks. Just looking for feedback on her feelings. Most of the comments say she was right for feeling betrayed (besides the ones just posting gifs or jokes) and I think she learned that she was right and doesn't need to doubt herself.

If it were just to mock him she could've added personal details (that is, details to identify him) or pictures upfront

AITA for telling him it's not ok to take out a second mortgage so he can get phalloplasty (enlargement surgery)? He scheduled a free consultation w/ a plastic surgeon, but told me it's probably going to cost at least 50K.



He says it's my fault and that my posts drove him to it. There's no way I'm co-signing anything. I think this is the last straw for him and I. I'm absolutely heartbroken that our relationship was just destroyed in a matter of two weeks. By a micropenis, nonetheless.

I've told him I don't need a $50K penis, and that we can manage to keep things spicy. But this stubborn man is bound and determined. I think he thinks this will save our relationship, but him being reckless with finances will ruin it instead.

I guess you could figure out who they are if you know your 32 year old friend just got married to a 27 year old. And I do think it sounded more like she was asking if she should feel deceived, rather than trying to shame. It was posted specifically in a section called “am I the asshole” which I thinks adds a small amount of context.

I mean who knows, it could all be a lie!

I use Reddit a lot, for a huge variety of topics, and this is the most plausible explanation to me.
There are so many people who post about micropenises, partners gaslighting them, other crazy shit. This one just happened to get blown up.

The difference here is that the Reddit user was trying to remain anonymous and get advice from other people about deception and what they should do. Sometimes you think you're the crazy one, don't have many friends or family (or they're all biased), and you need an outside perspective. Chemda and Hennessy are not anonymous. Their listeners/fans know some things about them already and are emotionally involved in the story. You never know what the backlash could be and it's all recorded. Or maybe she's not ready to speak about it. It's just a personal choice.
