I kind of get what he means; if you want the fame and the money it's going to come at some sort of cost. It doesn't make it ok that paparazzi follow you and take pictures of you (whether or not you know they're there), but if people didn't want to know or care about "celebs" then there wouldn't be celebs.

So we need to see them changing a tire in the rain!

I don't care about celebs, so I think that sort of stuff is ridiculous. But there are people who do want to see it, which is why it's a thing. Maybe we should get rid of them...

The guy on the greyhound was pretty scary. He not only stabbed the guy, he beheaded him, then ate parts of the body. He was found not criminally responsible because of mental disorder. He spent something like 7 years in treatment. He started having supervised visits to the outside world but now is out, has changed his name, and has no legal obligations or restrictions.

Mass transit has not seemed very appealing since.
