I have found most of the time, women just want to vent and be heard and don't actually want a solution; fine, I get that.

When it comes to physical injury (especially scalding plastic on your skin), I will give advice, look for a solution, call the doctor, something. Most guys want to help.

As guys, we could take one [pointless] step further and ask first, "Do you want my help or not?" If not, then they shouldn't be yelled at later when your hand has scars from a 2nd or god forbid, 3rd degree burn.

I believed I learned years ago from this show, how some people just want to complain and do not want advice. I believe the exact comment was that person just wanted to be patted on their head. I've not patted some on their head, but I have tried to listen and ask "Can I do anything or help you"
Hot Take... When I first heard the January 6 song, it bothered me... After a bit, I got upset by the song. Those singers are claiming to be Proud Americans, believing they were right and were trying to save the country. They have not realized they were traitors to America trying to destroy our government & install a Dictator. It feels like them shouting "We were right, We WILL try again. History sadly has too many examples where their rhetoric of Nationalism, violence, large group of followers, blaming some minority group for their problem, lead to a Dictators... Death for many followed - Please let me know if I am wrong or you feel similar. I could use a pat on the head right now
