Ok, so I’ve now listened to this episode which explains how previous interns all turned on Keith and Chemda for little to no reason. I’m in total agreement with K & C here, if someone I haven’t spoken to in 6yrs+ passes away and especially if we parted ways on bad terms, then it’s hard to feel much sympathy. I am now more shocked at the revelations / behaviour of the previous interns than that of news of Emmy passing away.

Does that make it less sad? I don’t know. She was young and someone all of us long time listeners were all aware of, and she died alone. Me and her barely spoke compared a lot of other forum members (remember Team SNA?), but this fake concern we’re all supposed to exude when someone we once knew a long time ago dies, doesn’t wash with me.

When friends and family die, it’s sad. If someone who’s not a friend or family member dies, it falls into a different category. Like if a pop star I don’t like dies…… I could give a rat’s ass. Sad for their friends and family, but for me, it’s not gonna ruin my day.

That’s just my personal opinion.

It’s the same as hitting the preset Happy Birthday button on LinkedIn. Lame.
