I'm relating hard to Keith trying to figure out if he belongs in some "club".
And I actually found my 'club' during Christmas when I read about aphantasia (as in not being able to hold or view mental pictures in your mind). I can never describe what things look like or draw something from my mind. Guided meditations are like "picture yourself in a garden" and I'm like how? Hopefully I would never be required to give a witness description of somebody - "I think he had a nose? Maybe? Actually I'm not sure"
But I thought this was how everybody experiences it. People actually seeing detailed images in their heads blows my mind. And now I'm obsessed going around asking everybody i know how they think. What else is different

I have this to some degree too.
It's very hard for me to see someone's face in my mind. I see more general ideas of objects and people.

I have a sibling with this. They can't picture a barn AND a cow, for example. (Which I wish I knew as a kid for any argument we'd ever have. "WELL YOU CAN'T EVEN PICTURE IT!!!"

I wonder if you're less paranoid than most people cause you can't make up scenarios in your head that you can't picture ...

The answer is no.
I’m very bad in imagining stuff, can only see it for a millisecond and it’s gone and I am still just planty paranoid. The idea alone is enough.

When Keith put out his standup album “Can You Imagine?” a certain percentage of the population was like “uh no, we can’t”.

Keith, you make me feel so much better about, what I think might be called, dysgeographia. I am the same and have even left the tiny capital of our country while leaving a friend’s house at night when my phone’s battery was dead. I get lost in my even smaller home town! My sister is the same… no sense of direction. It sucks, it’s embarrassing and it’s hard to explain to others. Brother!

It was pointed out that I look down when I walk, but that's so I can collect all the world's discarded riches. I never think to make note of my surroundings necessarily, even though that shouldn't explain turning a corner and getting confused.

(Chemda knows her way around, but I don't trip on sidewalks.)

An embarrassing one is when a pizza place I always went to moved to the other side of the street. When I exited, I made my normal right out of the place to my home and it wasn't until at least 3 blocks later that I realized I now needed to be making a left.

Is Cara Keith’s former girlfriend who was a runner and he would tape a cigarette to a banana and give it to her whilst she was running a marathon?
