Chemda, you keep saying that informing the students would make no difference, but listen to what the caller who said the classroom are "built like castles" said. The classrooms are basically barricaded and are the only rooms that are barricaded in such a way. If class was cancelled(there was a 2 hour window to do this, which is very possible), the students would either leave campus or be in areas where there weren't hundreds of students locked into single rooms. There's no way that guy shoots 70 people walking outside, the only way he did it was by getting everyone in a tight space where they couldn't escape.

My thoughts on gun control, condensed version......My husband is a police officer. He carries a gun. Before he got said gun, he underwent lots and lots of psychological testing and various lie detector tests. Guns are awesome when in the hands of sane, educated people. Guns are dangerous when sold to some psycho who just has to provide a couple of id's to get it. Bunch of bullshit if you ask me.

No offense to your husband, but guns in the hands of police don't make me feel safe. Especially when many states test officers to make sure thier IQs arent too HIGH instead of too low.
