The Jewish calendar is lunar based. Easter and Passover are linked because the Romans gave the Jewish people the ability to pardon someone for Passover, Barabbas was chosen and Jesus was crucified. Easter is based on the Jewish lunar calendar so it moves around our solar based calendar
