Yeah, I'm shit at cash games. With the money you spent I'd have played some $24+$2's. Over about 10 of those I'm profitable.
I'm just not made to play multiple games at once either. To be honest though, if I were going to spend 50 hours gambling I'd rather do it on sports. During college football I didn't get off work until 5pm, so I couldn't bet all day. However 6pm -12a I was averaging around 30 bets (quarters, halves, props, totals). It was enough to keep me busy almost constantly. Not doing quite as many now, but keeping busy with basketball and hockey.

Oh yeah, I should update this:
The weekend results were that I started off Saturday going down pretty fast, then played breakeven for a while and decided to quit. Didn't feel like playing Sunday and Monday very much, so I played like 1-table of random stuff throughout the days and basically watched a lot of Netflix instead. Even though I ran terrible to start, by the end I didn't feel like I was playing well enough to make it worth continuing the challenge (probably made some bad unconscious adjustments which explains why I was breaking even on Saturday). If I break it down by showdown and non-showdown: With my normal strategy, the blue line should generally be going up steadily and the red line should be dropping down at a rate of maybe $20/1000. As you can see, the blue line's flat for like 6k hands while I ran like crap. But more importantly, the red line's dropping at like $70/1000 which is a result of me making bad adjustments. Obviously some of that was also due to bad runs, but that clearly indicated to me that I need to review my play and take the two days to chill / read up on some strategy instead of playing. Random stats: VPIP% and PFR% should be closer to 23/20 for my normal game (so I was missing profitable spots). Consequently W$WSF went down by like 5%, and 3bet% should be closer to like 6%. So the weekend results were -$460 + $100 in bonuses, for -$360 overall. Since school started, I've taken my laptop to school to play in between classes, usually 2-3 hours at a time. My red line's back and I'm doing fine again. Had a couple of strategy discussions and lessons with other players, so I'm pretty happy about my play atm. Maybe I'll do another crazy challenge over the spring break (except actually complete it) JakeSol007: yeah, TAG. I try to adjust to the other players, but mostly don't try to force stuff with my image as LAGs do since I'm not really comfortable in super-marginal spots and I'm not sure who's going to be adjusting. I might push into 25/22 with my recent adjustments, but I'll probably never get into the 30s as I'm not really sure how to approach hands with that image. |
