[QUOTE=Cretaceous Bob;559578]See? Even a guy whose balls I busted says I'm fair. Though I would say that it is not at all trivial to figure out who is more open-minded, as serial very clearly set the terms of closed-mindedness as "doesn't like a genre of metal". So let's see how many serial doesn't like compared to me, and we will have our answer. But serial would rather fuck off than talk about metal.
A) My connection dropped out so i could reply to your ramblings.. that's the internet in Australia for you. B) How you can call me closed minded i'll never no. Name one band i've shit on and i'll name 10 you've mentioned. I'm very open to all styles of metal... not to mention most genres besides country. Granted, i only really mention "metalcore" and "hardcore" bands on these forums but that's hardly the extent of my music collection. As for your little "only popular band offer pre-orders" comment, that's bullshit and you know it. Threat Signal are hardly a popular band, especially here in Australia, and i pre-ordered them just fine... digi-pak and everything. Same for other albums including the only EP a mate's band from Perth released. Wow Bob, how's that.. a band can NEVER release a cd before but i pre-ordered it. I've said to you a million times now that it's all just metal, it's you that keeps cutting everything into sub-genres just to further your own pathetic points. I give no shits for your opinions on music of any genre, especially not metal. Mainly because i don't have to justify myself or my music collection to you, you're just another forums douche to me. I mearly keep replying to you because you're so easy to get a bite out of and you make it so clear that, despite everything you say about not being close-minded, you can't help but shit on the popular metal genres. If i flame out all the music that is played on the radio, does that make me open minded to popular music? Not very in my opinion. You don't sound too open minded to me Bob. /cue Bob's cliche merry-go-round "points" |

To get back on topic, Darkthrone, what albums should I get next, I have The Cult Is Alive, I quite like the style of that album but I know they vary quite widely throughout there discography and I am not into the whole super low production black metal scene so there first album or two are not my thing.

That last album just wasn't the style I'm into sounded way too much like evanescence or lacuna coil or something, I just dislike it when female singers do that generic style, for me Tarja had something better, I think I just liked her more operatic style.

You are essentially saying that anything popular is beyond reproach, because anytime anyone criticizes a popular band, you can just sling that reasoning without any proof. Name another popular metal genre I bash besides metalcore, and you will have a point. Oh hey, DragonForce is really fucking popular, but you see I've mentioned them positively. Even though even the underground thinks they're really gay. Oh wait, your retarded claims are collapsing. I linked to a positive review of a metalcore album I did, and madeye testified to me fairly appraising a metalcore band. I've told you repeatedly my target isn't metalcore, it's you fuckers that listen to a very narrow section of metal. I'd like it noted that you have admitted the metal you like is very similar, and you obviously dare not try to claim my taste in metal is not varied. My point, then, is proven, and you're a blithering idiot. |

"Once" is the album that first got me into them. "Century Child" is probably my favorite, though I love their old and new stuff pretty equally. Their sound has changed a bit over time, I won't deny that, but I still like pretty much everything they've released. "Over the Hills" EP was a good one as well... 10th Man Down is an awesome tune.

I've listened to metal since i was 15 (that makes about 16 years of headbanging) , and fights have always been part of the fun. Thrashers vs. Hair Metal. True vs False. Old School Thrash Vs. New Thrash.
Metalheads have always been litigious even before the internet, but in the end they all agree on concerts, sex and beer (Generally) |
