I owe you an apology. I decided to give Wishmaster a few more listens at work over the past week or so and wow, that album is good. I still like Dark Passion Play, but I'm glad I gave that album another chance.

Yea its a great albums, I usually not a fan of female fronted bands at all but I like nightwish with tarja, only other bands with female singers I like are the project hate and unexpected, even then those had male vocalists aswell.

Might take a trip back into nightwish's back catalogue aswell, haven't listened to them in a while.

A good female fronted band is Todesbonden (you can't listen to them, gregg; they're not successful yet).

Everyone should go HERE and listen to "More of Fire than Blood", off of Anaal Nathrakh's new album. It's fucking incredible.

Pyramaze is one of my favorite bands at the moment. Got to meet former singer Lance King last year at Chicago Powerfest. He was pretty fucking cool and talked with us for a while while he ran his record label's booth. Hopefully new vocalist Urban Breed can fill his (and Matt Barlow's) shoes.

Dark Passion Play is musically the best thing that Nightwish have done and it's the most accomplished they have ever sounded. I have been going through the old albums and yes, Tarja had a better range but if you just take the singing out of it, the music, the production and the atmosphere that is created on DPP pisses on any of their past work. Frankly, I am worried on how they they are going to follow it up!?

I love listening to the instrumental bonus disc from Dark Passion Play... makes excellent background noise.
