Absolutely right. Sometimes I can't get over the corniness of the music on Wishmaster. The opening track sounds like something from Nightmare on Elm Street to me.

Fuck, I didn't even realize this DVD existed... Roadrunner United folks playing some classic Annihilator with Tim Owens on vocals = fucking amazing.

A band hailing from here in northern ireland, pretty decent music although they recently lost there bassist to alestorm (who annoy me) and apparently they are all dick heads, or so a reliable source tells me.

Wishmaster is my next favorite album and what I love about it is it's blatantly "dungeons and dragons" type style and content. It's the ultimate geek album if you ask me but the feel of it is very classic rock, almost progressive but yeah, it's total nerd cheese but that is the beauty of it. Dark Passion Play is better though IMHO.

Saw Slipnot in my Springfield IL last night: Awesome show.

Two openers: 3 inches of blood and Devil Driver. Hadn't herd them before but they were ok- I'll check out their CDs.

OH GOD NO!

Metal News - Twilight Actor To Play Varg Vikernes In Movie ( Metal Underground . com )

Jackson Rathbone, who is perhaps best known for appearing in the movie Twilight, has apparantly signed on to portray Burzum mastermind Varg Vikernes in the upcoming movie, "Lords Of Chaos." The movie is about the Norwegian black metal scene and the church burnings and other crimes connected to it. Varg Vikernes has previously spoken out against the movie. Vikernes confirmed on May 22nd that he is now back in free society after serving sixteen years in prison for murder and arson.

I dont see the similairity, also it's directed by a Japanese guy who im 100% has never heard even Cradle of Filth let alone NBM from the early 90's.

I think the portrayal is actually going to be fairly accurate, considering Varg always has been a douche.

Sure, it's going to shit on black metal, but whatever.
