I can't fucking wait for TBDM's new album to be released.

Until then, here's a trailer for the DVD that will accompany their new album

Lacrymae - Handel's Apocalypse

Head here Lacrymae to listen to a track from the upcoming debut EP entitled The Hallowed Design. The song is called Handel's Apocalypse and it's awesome - I was in this band in its infancy and it's so cool to hear how far they've come.

Some great new albums I've been listening to recently..

Bleed From Within - 'Humanity' & 'Empire'

Both great albums for those who like brutal, technical metal with deep, throaty growls as well as high pitched shrieking.

Sons Of Aurelius - 'The Farthest Reaches'

Another great technically "deathcore" band that makes use of the deep growl/shrieking style vocals.

The Acacia Strain - 'Wormwood'

I was never a huge fan of their other releases but Junks recommended this and it blew me away. I'll now be doing a rediscovery of their older albums

Attila - 'Rage'

I'll let the metal purist faggots bitch and moan about the inhale verses exhale style of vocals and I'll agree that Attila will never win any awards for their lyrics but this album is fucking awesome from start to finish.

Still nothing but -core bands.

Best albums of 2010 thus far:

Sabaton's Coat of Arms

Overkill's Ironbound

Unleashed's As Yggdrasil Trembles

Equilibrium's Rekreatur

And the sole track I've heard from Angantyr's Svig is better than anything else released this year and his last album Haevn is better than anything put out during this first half 2010.

This year is an okay year so far. It's already about equal to 2009, but still doesn't compare to 2008.

You're retarded, aren't you?

Isn't it in this very thread that I linked to -core bands I like?

I've already stated that your problem is you like nothing but -core. I think I remember you mentioning a single non-core band, dude.

That doesn't sound open-minded; don't bullshit me.

Shit, look at our posts. Me? Power metal, thrash metal, death metal, folk metal, black metal. You? Metalcore. You have so much variety it fuckin' hurts.

Oh, here's a new, unknown gem for people who know that "open-minded" means "not having everything one listens to fit a very specific formula":

And while I have enough free time to play your game, explain to me how KsE is similar to Bleed From Within or how All That Remains is similar to Sons Of Aurelius.

I'm sure I'll read your reply and give a fuck..

Bob, take a deep breath and listen. He posted the new Acacia strain album which is as far as cookie cutter metalcore as you can get. The Sons Of aurelius record is also more close to Techno-Death stuff like Cyptopsy or Necrophagist (with the main difference being the vocals).

I'm not saying you have to like that (cause you wont) or you have to agree (cause you wont) or even argue at a civil level (cause you wont. you do it on other issues, but not on this one). But dont stick stuff that isnt core in the core label.

I ì'll make you an example. One of my favourite albums of the later onths is Castevet's Mounds Of Ash.

It has been labeled as Post-Black but it's far more innovative than that.

Another good band on Profound Lore has made a new album, Yakuza:

Outstanding stuff, that some less smart people love to label Post-Metal and yet covers all genres and none.

Hate ahead, if you have to. But there's different shades to stuff.
