I love DiAnno, too! Undeniably good stuff. I would never kick your ass. I'm a gental brute

I've been listening to the shit out of this album. My friend got real excited when I said I was real into the new Twilight, until she realized that I was talking about the band and not the movie.

If Bob ever reads this, I'm fucked. I've never like cliche "metal" bands like Maiden, Sabbath.. etc. I was raised on Alice Cooper, Zeppelin and Meat Loaf. I was a huge 90's rap fan (East 17) fan until I heard Metallica's 'Enter Sandman', it blew me away and completely changed my taste in music forever. 2 months later, I saw Pantera live in Newcastle (w/ Biohazard.. boo). My claim to fame was that I pissed in a urinal next to Evan Seinfeld.

4 years later, I saw Pantera again.. I met Dime and Vinnie Paul and it'll always remain the greatest experience of my life. Phil was a cunt during that gig though.

I've seen NIN too.. they blew me away. That was just after 'The Fragile' came out. Trent was on fire that night.. his performance of 'Closer' almost had me jerking in the most pit. Instead, I groped some random chick and she got right into it.. so much so that it was almost 90 minutes of NIN and feeling a chick up.

How are Alice Cooper, Zepplin and Meat Loaf less "cliche", as you say, than Maiden and Sabbath? And how does that have anything to do with what you were raised on?

Amazing album all the way. The people involved in the twilight project are all supercool. and when they formed a supergroup on Spouthern Lord (one of my "i buy everything they put out" labels) i just was in on it since the first one.

Also, this isnt new but i still love this album to pieces

Because "purists" believe that a true metal fan have to like Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and all that non-metal hard rock in order to like modern day metal.

How does it have anything to do with what I was raised on? THAT is the music that was played to me as a kid.. I was raised on those bands. I was a kid being raised by a mother who loved Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd Zepplin and Meat Loaf.. that's what was constantly playing throughout my childhood. You understand what the term "being raise on" means don't you (re-read that sentence in the non-bitchy tone in which in was meant)?

1. It's fine that you don't like Sabbath, Maiden, or Priest...but how can you claim them to be "non-metal" I think that's a load of horse shit. But I'm with you on Priest, fucking fruity ass band. "breaking the law, break-breaking" yeah shut up, the only law you broke was the one against sodomy you shit ass band.

2. Well...I'm with Martha on the "being raised on"....I was raised on a lot of music that I love that holds a lot of nostalgia for me and helped shaped my overall music taste....there's also some music that brings back bad memories and I don't like because of the correlation I've set with the music and the memories....and there's also music I was raised on that I absolutely hate, because it was shitty then, it's shitty now, it will always be shitty...and I don't get why the fuck my mom listened to such shitty shit....so I think you can see why "being raised on" isn't a clearly understood phrase if you don't tell us how "being raised on" certain music affected you.

Junk used to think I was Satan because I didn't like Bill Hicks, then he recommended a good album and I liked it! Now I'm not Satan.

Maybe you should give Master of Reality another listen Serial...not saying you have to like it, but I don't understand how a rational human being wouldn't see the merit in it.
